Job Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Marketing Manager to join our growing digital team, based at our Sutton Coldfield Head Office. You’ll be responsible to plan and deliver high profile campaigns across our technology product range, with a focus on paid social and digital marketing channels working closely with our key agency partners and internal team’s. This is great opportunity for someone who relishes working in an entrepreneurial environment with the challenge to build and grow their own marketing team in line with company growth expectations.

The ideal person will have at least 3 years online marketing experience in a B2C Retail environment with recent knowledge of paid social marketing channels and affiliate marketing.

Key Tasks:

  • Maintain and develop strong partnerships with all agencies and deliver on core campaigns, objectives and key business priorities.
  • Managing all online and offline advertising, including social media and Google advertising.
  • Managing the website activities with the Box Online Web Team
  • Brand management and development of Box
  • Managing the marketing budget ensuring that campaigns are run on time and on budget
  • Day to day responsibility for running of our Webgains affiliate program along with Creating and implementing our affiliate strategy.
  • Managing all social media accounts and developing a social media strategy
  • Managing all e-newsletter communications via Dot Mailer System.
  • Working with Product Managers to develop Manufacturer Marketing Plans
  • Keep up-to-date of the latest marketing trends and identify new innovative opportunities 
  • Ensure effectiveness and efficiency of PPC and Display advertising.
  • Competitor and market analysis
  • Manage and implement Box Promotion calendar.
  • Be able to report accurately and concisely to demonstrate success and ROI to management team.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • 3 years working in a B2C / Online Retail Environment.
  • Excellent time management and communication skills.
  • Build relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analytical and results driven, constantly looking for opportunities to improve performance
  • Proven track record in developing & delivering successful campaigns with demonstrable ROI
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Passionate about all things digital marketing with the desire to be an expert in the field.
  • Strong attention to detail. A team player who gets stuck in and enjoys working on a variety of projects
  • Experience working with Dotmailer Experience Desirable
  • Degree educated or equivalent.

Job Role

We are looking for a Product Manager who will be reasonable for the Profit and Loss of a category and managing key vendor relationships. You will be a strong negotiator who loves a deal and thrives in working in an entrepreneurial environment. You will need good commercial acumen and the ability to work in a fast past environment selling across multi channels.

You will be responsible for maximizing the revenue and profit for category through negotiation via suppliers and manufacturers, buying, pricing, promotion, merchandising, marketing, stock management and competitor analysis The right candidate will be given all the support and training to be successful in this role.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for the revenue and margin of the category against monthly targets.
  • Manage the relationship with Vendors and Suppliers
  • Be a product champion for your category identifying new products and trends working across online sales channels, sales teams and our Retail store.
  • Negotiation of pricing with manufacturers and suppliers on a daily basis.
  • Create and set-up products on the Box Internal system, taking responsibility for full product merchandising including images/videos, descriptions and specification across box website and marketplaces.
  • Working with Internal marketing team to carry out vendor marketing activity as outlined in marketing plans.
  • Understand Key Competitors and regularly check pricing across all channels to ensure we are maximising profit across the category.
  • Sell Marketing Funds to vendors.
  • Analysing of key reports for the category.
  • Raising stock orders with suppliers to ensure we are maintaining suitable levels of stock across product categories.
  • Liaise with internal teams around product queries, pricing issues, product returns and delivery of orders. Liaise with suppliers and vendors which relate to products.
  • Raising of marketing invoices with supporting proof of activity

Skills and Experience

  • A Self starter who is target driven and thrives in working in a entrepreneurial environment.
  • Good range of negotiation skills to help manage strategic partnerships.
  • Good time management and the ability to manage multiple tasks along with strong team-working skills and the ability to work in a fast paced online environment.
  • Understanding of online websites and marketplaces along with basic product management practises.
  • An understanding of technology would be preferred but not essential if you can demonstrate your suitability for the role.
  • Ability to communicate both internally and externally via phone and email to navigate external systems and websites.
